Hello. You are quick. Well then it is not a good idea to begin with: “Start by walking Ben down three places.”. Better start with her, go 1 up, 1 to the right and 2 up.

And how do you want to move the upper block if you start with walking Ben down three steps? (You need all 4 blocks to build what you have suggested.)

As for that block, I have one character push it down, then the other pushes it to the right. As I said, there’s many options. Maybe we should count the number of moves and find the fastest. :-)

Maybe the progress persists as long as your browser is open, and it’s cleared when you close your browser? Could be a privacy setting in the browser or an external program such as a virus scanner. I hope you can get it to work. If not, send me an email at jan.niestadt@gmail.com and I’ll see if I can make a progress file you can import.

Thanks! I’m actually not sure what the maximum is, but if you’ve solved all levels at three stars, including the bonus levels, and have gotten all the achievements, then you’ve seen all there is to see! Impressive, by the way! :-)

UPDATE: I checked and 354 should indeed be the maximum, but there’s one hidden achievement, bringing the maximum to 359. You get the hidden achievement if you solve a puzzle containing orbs without using all of them. I can’t remember, but I’m pretty sure it’s possible (probably in several levels). If I had to guess, level 49 is a good candidate. :-)

Hi Jan,

I can’t solve the last level either. It’s because the tiles don’t float correctly over the clouds but always stuck at the big black one. I took same screenshots trying to make my problem understandable.

After the first pushing action of Ben:

Ben is now ready for the last push:

But he can’t get to the cloud:

Hi Puttchen, your comment ended up in the Spam folder, so I didn’t see it.

What you’re describing is because of a logic error on my part, I’m afraid. Blocks float over the little black clouds, but not over the big black cloud as you have found. I agree that doesn’t really make sense, but that’s the way it is I’m afraid.

That said, the intended solution to this puzzle doesn’t push blocks onto the big black cloud. It takes a little more effort, but it is possible! There are some hints elsewhere on this page as well (have a look at my reply to Nicolas’ question).

I’ll try to update the game so the big black cloud destroys any blocks that are pushed onto it, that will make it clearer that you have to find another solution. Thanks for reporting this problem!

Fantastic game. Unfortunately, I can’t work out level 72. Could you drop a hint?
I am also short of 4 achievements (chased by a ghost, fat lady sings, epiphany, trandescence). I guess one of them might have to do with one level, in which after drop a block I came across an exit for Marley (who was not in the level) . At the time I concentrated on solving the original puzzle, but now that I wanted to check it out again, I can’t remember which level it was.

Hints for level 72 are below. As for the achievements: “chased by a ghost” is when you solve a level in under 10 seconds; the others are for finishing the game with 1, 2 or 3 stars on all levels. I’m not sure about the level with Marley’s exit you talked about!

Hi there,
first of all: Great game!
I did all levels with three stars on “Spiegel online” and got no “Transcendence”. Also found no option to play “user creations”. Is there any bug?

Thanks LJ! Did you complete all the “Spice of Life” (“Gewuerze des Lebens”) levels? You need those to get Transcendence.

The player creations are not yet on Spiegel.de. I’ve been updating the game quite frequently here on qwokgames.com, but I don’t want to put the Spiegel guys through that. I’ll send them an updated version soon. In the meantime, you can play the Player Creations here if you want (they should be unlocked by default).

That one was interessting: I collected all three ‘persons’ on the heart tile, leaving only the 3 brown tiles that lead to Marvin’s exit. At that point all three persons exited – I didn’t know that Marvin can exit on the heart tile. Nevertheless at the same moment I got the error message that you cannot exit with more that 3 tiles left. So why DID they exit then?

The heart exit is a bit of a hack, especially added for the final level. You can finish the final level without breaking all the blocks because at that point in the story I didn’t want to force people to break all the blocks if they just went straight for the exit. I’ll fix it so the message doesn’t appear. The heart exit also working for Marley I see as more of a feature (you have character-specific exits as well as one character-neutral one).

Update: the heart exit now works like the other exits, number-of-tiles-wise (except for the final level, where the number-of-tiles rule doesn’t apply).

Dear Jan,

Playing with Colorize and “Heart”-Tiles as ends I found an intresting behavior and probably a little counting bug. But you can solve the following puzzle even with this “feature” with 3 stars.

I hope it is a little more mindbending than the last one. (which I updated to have the right solution, see above)

Wow, that is interesting, I never realized that. Internally, the game stores the heart-exit as having the color gray, and the player-specific exits as having the color brown, blue and brown/blue (for Marley). So it actually sort of makes sense (except not :-). You’re right about the counting bug, that’s because colorize adds one to your tile count, but obviously you can’t break exits. I’ll solve the last issue but keep the exit-“coloring” behaviour, I think. That won’t make this level impossible to solve, will it? (I havent’ solved it yet)

How about I change it like this: in colorize mode, if you step off the heart exit, it will turn into a normal, (breakable) colored tile. So you can’t use it as an exit after you step off it. Would that be better to keep the difficulty of this level?

Please don’t. I like it when the exit changes according to the person who leaves as you could expect in similarity to colorize. Because I’m thinking of another level using that behavior…

Thanks Marc, looks really difficult again! :-) And also an interesting behaviour I didn’t know about: if you push a block onto ice and the block has a place to go but you don’t, you end up standing still on the first ice tile. Not sure if this makes sense, but I’ll leave it in.

By the way, the “Spice of Life” features haven’t been tested as thoroughly as the regular game, hence all the unexpected behaviour. I’m curious to see what you guys find out next! ;-)

Me too! I put it in the game and just uploaded the new version. :-)

Also added a tiny improvement to the editor for all you puzzle architects. One small feature that was in the game but you couldn’t yet put in using the editor. Let’s see if you can figure out what it is!

Oh, and a tip (this was in de editor already, but undocumented): to move your level around, use Ctrl+Arrowkey. So Ctrl+Up moves the level up, etc. It’s sometimes handy when you run out of space on one side, or want to center your level a bit better.

Hi guys,
Did you ever realize when the end credits appear, that Gijs and Jans position change always. Like that. :-)

But I was playing with the editor and I found a little bug while using Ctrl+Arrowkey. If you using tiles with objects on top Ctrl+UP and Ctrl+LEFT behaves strangely, when you cross the upper or left boundary.

Good night,

It’s a bit strange that we’re faced with new blocks/objects in one level and their mechanics are explained a couple levels later, like in level 60 a mechanic is used that’s explained in 63. I don’t really see the point of it. If we figured it out in level 60, we don’t need the explanation at 63 anymore.

Yes, that is a bit strange! :-) I think that happened because I moved levels around, scrapped some levels, and created new ones, and I guess I lost track of when this feature was first used. I’ll move the tooltip in level 63 to level 60. Thanks!

Great game, thank you!

I solved most levels, but I am stuck with these:

Level 111: This is fun, but the two lower right blocks are unaccessible, or did I miss some trick to get a block out of a corner? Nevertheless, I still get 3 stars, because those two don’t count… Maybe this can be corrected (or someone tells me the trick :) …)

Level 112: It is much try an error, since the blocks behave quite strange, making it tricky to guess in advance: f.e. the blocks can be pushed off a normal square, but can’t be pushed off an ice square etc. Anyway, I got a 1 star solution, but I am not able to find a 3 star solution, and I seem not to be getting nearer… Any hints would be appreciated.

Thanks for the fun!

By the way, some of them still say “UNTESTED” in the lower-right corner. I’m sure you’ve tested them, but maybe you made a slight change after the last test? Each change you make to a level (however slight) resets it back to “UNTESTED”. Not really a big deal, but I thought I’d explain.

Also, if you destroy a black cloud and then undo, the cloud will be drawn on top of the characters. For example (same level): Isabelle URRRRRRR, Ben RRRDDLULLDRR, now press undo.

u=up, r=right l=left
u r u l l l r
d d d l u u u
l l u u r d d
r r u r r r u r r d
go left to trigger the light bomb, then go back right, then
d d l l, jump down and the rest should be easy enough…

Hi cpthowdy!

Any progress with Level 111? I will try to give some hints how to solve the puzzle. It is a little tricky and a bit like a Sisyphean labour.
You need to clear the left columns first. Start with Marley going down and pushing the block down and clearing the tile. Then Marley moves back up and Ben starts pushing the remaining two blocks in his row to the left, so that Marley can push them down to clear them. Then Ben moves to the top and Marley pushes the blocks on the clowds. The left one th the left and the other one over the black clowd. Then both of them start to clear all the columns by Ben pushing the blocks down and Marley clearing them by pushing each block to the left. When you have reached the last block of the column with the light bomb (which by now should have been triggered), make sure that Marley pushes the last block back up, which leaves Ben standing on his exit. Ben steps right, Marley steps right on the first tile, Ben steps down, Marley pushes the block left and clears, Ben steps down, then back up and two steps to the right. Now Marley moves all the way to the right. Ben steps one to the left and pushing the block down, Marley steps left, Ben steps up, right and down. Now Marley can move right, up, right and has now access to the right side and can push the blocks to middle or wherever they can be pushed to become tiles and can be cleared….
I even made a walkthrough-video, but I have no possibility to share it on youtube or elsewhere (any ideas how I can share this video with the „together-alone-family“ are welcome – as long as I do not have to register or create an account anywhere…)

I hope, this will help!

Hi Danielle!

It is pretty easy…just make sure, that you can push one of the blocks in the lower corner to the middle… start going up, then left (or right), up and around, pushing the blocks. You should come down on the right (or left) side so that you can push the lower block to the middle and then down to give you access to the exit …

Fortunately, it sounds like you were able to catch up again quickly. Were Sally’s hints enough to get past level 26? If not, just in case:

Can anyone help me with Level 108? I haven’t got a clue how to get the third star, I’m stuck with two stars. And it’s always the same tile remaining, it’s the blue one two to the right beside the final tile. I hope someone can help. Thanks!

Hi Tami,
I assume that you need to change your strategy: let Marley push the block on Isabelles way to the target tile … and then:

Hi Mike!

Here we go: r=right U= jump up l=left for Isabel:L=step left R=step right
Ben: r r U r r
Marley: l u r, walk over the clouds towards Isabel and push the block down in front of her, then walk back up and join Ben on his tile
Isabel: d u l l l L u u R and join Ben and Marley
The rest should be easy enough…..
I hope, that helps!
Cheers,
Sally

Level 111:
3 Stars, you don’t have to destroy all Blocks.

Got it finally…. But the hint is totally wrong! It has to be something like: “Blocks can stay !!on!! the ice if one character is blocking the way.”
